GRAFENEGG CULTURAL SUMMER

Grafenegg Cultural Summer

Since 1971, the most diverse events, exhibitions, concerts, meetings and courses take place. Initiator of the cultural activities in Grafenegg, was the managing director and intendant dr. Gerhard Großberger, who made Grafenegg in his 35-year service a fixture of the cultural landscape of Austria.

In the castle park is the 2007 completed cloud tower open-air stage with 1,750 seats and the Auditorium Grafenegg concert hall, which serves as a venue and alternative venue for the open air. Since summer 2007, the annual Grafenegg Festival takes place here.

On the basis of a cultural offensive by the ORF, was searched for a low-cost option, to broadcast live the summer events in Grafenegg Castle. They didn’t want to work classically with a broadcasting van and a large number of camera people and picture masters, but rather focus on the content. ETAS High-Tech Systems GmbH was commissioned to work out a method, to solve the task. ETAS planned and then implemented a production that using pan-tilt cameras and mobile image Director, as well as a live encoding on-site construction. The ORF was able to save a large number of cameramen. ETAS supported the technical implementation with staff and equipment. Since then, Grafenegg has been an integral part of the cultural summer program on ORF.
